ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Consultative approach with multiple assigned client groups.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career
development, disciplinary actions).
  • Assists with hiring and corrective actions.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Provide employee relations support for employees and managers, including resolving issues.
  • Conducts effective, thorough, and objective employee relations inquiries and investigations.
  • Assists or conducts grievances.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Administers the Orientation process of new hires.
  • Provides data analysis and reporting to support business groups.
  • Interfaces with employees and answers questions on HR related topics.
  • Provides general counseling in career guidance, work or policy related issues to employees and students.
  • Administers drug-free workplace policies and procedures including random drug screens.
  • Administer leave paperwork, respond to questions, and track leaves.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or HR related discipline
  • Might consider Associates in related field and 10+ years HR experience
  • Minimum of 2-4 years previous Human Resource experience.
  • Proficiency in Benefit Functions
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience in Compliance
  • Ability to manage Employee Relations
  • Familiarity with FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) regulations
  • Experience in Hiring Processes
  • Understanding of Career Development strategies
  • Ability to implement Corrective Action when required
  • Experience handling Terminations and creating Termination Letters
  • Ability to Conduct Investigations in workplace issues
  • Experience conducting New Hire Orientations
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis
  • Experience in Compliance Audit
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in using HR software and computer applications
  • Knowledge of labor laws and employment equity regulations
  • Effective leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
