Your role and responsibilities

Openings available for Material Planner (Planning and Fulfillment Specialist) at ABB Inc. in Miami, FL:

Responsible for end-to-end inventory planning, including sales above revenue, from purchase requisition to invoice to the customer. Support internal customer service queries. Analyses and reviews inventory parameters, inventory targets, and ensures adequate inventory replenishment through purchase orders.
Drive planning initiatives to improve on-time supply and best customer delivery time. Responsible for inventory accuracy and adherence to the supply plan. Ensure the right material is in stock, on the right date, and in the right quantity to support forecasted demand.

Proficient in being a key user for low-impact transfer material, as well as support for migration strategies. Manage changes in mode of transportation to minimize the possibility of stockouts and delays in delivery to the customer.

Qualifications for the role
  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in operations, engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience performing inventory optimization, supply chain processes and inventory control to ensure high accuracy of requirements and availability of products in stock calculating and controlling inventory parameters of lead time and replenishment strategies. Requires 6 years of experience: performing material requirements planning (MRP) analysis; using of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems related to supply chain processing and using SAP system modules: SD, MM and MRP; placing, monitoring and resolving NCRs (Non-Conformity Report) from suppliers, analyzing and monitoring discrepancies in supplier invoices and report corrections; triggering and managing purchases and forwarding of orders to suppliers through EDI (electronic data interchange); monitoring the supplier purchase order process from release to delivery at destination; ensuring transportation of goods and planning and executing the flow of goods and services from supplier to customer; managing company’s inventory, analyzing operational performance and resolving issues, collaborating with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations meet quality standards; performing quarterly analysis of the stock profile and definition of actions to avoid excesses; redetermining the means of transport according to the customer's needs; finding the root cause for lack of material and implementing actions and solutions in coordination with Feeder Factory; creating forecasts based on average consumption and future projects; and leading 35K SKU data analysis projects to adjust order quantity for material purchased and ensure proper inventory control at all levels. Requires 4 years of expertise: analyzing and preparing monthly SAP system data collection KPI reports and make improvements based on reports from other corporate tools, verifying results, and developing alternative solutions; and utilizing SAP system for warehouse migration, carrying out tests, reviewing stock analysis, and providing in the migration strategy. Position reports to office located in Miami, FL. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
