Warehouse/Forklift Operator

Overview

This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and basic math tasks.

• Operate forklifts, including Hi-Lo, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks, to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Perform regular inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with OSHA standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
• Assist in materials handling tasks, including stacking, organizing, and storing products in designated areas.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting.
• Valid forklift certification is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management practices and materials handling techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
• Basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
