The Logistician III is responsible for providing advanced integrated logistics support (ILS) with a focus on Navy and DoD systems. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Portsmouth, with teleworking options available, and requires extensive experience in Navy logistics programs such as MBPS, MRC, MIP, and ILS certifications.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in logistics support, with a strong background in technical manuals and certification processes. The position requires an active SECRET clearance and up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level integrated logistics support (ILS) for Navy and DoD systems, including MBPS, MRC, MIP, and ILS certification processes.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical manuals and logistics documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with Navy standards.
  • Ensure that logistics operations align with Navy and DoD policies, including provisioning, maintenance planning, and technical data management.
  • Oversee logistics support activities and provide guidance to team members on ILS best practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless logistics support and timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor and report on the status of ILS projects, ensuring that all deliverables are met according to established timelines.
  • Conduct assessments and support certification efforts to ensure that systems and components meet operational readiness requirements.
  • Travel up to 25% for site visits, project meetings, and logistics assessments as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in integrated logistics support (preferably in Navy or DoD environments).
  • In-depth knowledge of Navy logistics programs, including MBPS, MRC, MIP, and ILS certification processes.
  • Experience with technical manuals, maintenance planning, and data management.
  • Active SECRET clearance is required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Suffolk, VA.
