Responsibilities:
Works under the direction of the Director of Therapy Services and/or the Supervisor of Therapy Services. The Physical Therapist provides direct patient care to all those patients referred for PT at UF Health Leesburg, UF Health Leesburg Rehabilitation Hospital and UF Health The Villages.The Physical Therapist participates in all team conferences, staff meetings and any other appropriate meetings deemed necessary by the specific unit. The Physical Therapist is able to interact on a professional basis with all Therapy Team members, is able to understand and react effectively to the unique needs of patients in reference to specific age groups.
The Physical Therapist demonstrates competency to plan, initiate and evaluate care for patients in accordance with discipline specific therapy standards as defined by the Florida Department of Health, Board of PT. The therapist provides instruction and assistance to all Therapy Team members and acts in compliance with the ethical conduct of the organization at all times.
Qualifications:
Education:- Professional School, Masters Degree, DPT
- Florida Licensed Physical Therapist
- BLS
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
