Accounts Payable Clerk

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Analyst near Alliance, Ohio. The role revolves around managing financial transactions, primarily invoice processing, and maintaining accurate records in the Oracle system. As part of the team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

• Processing invoices for payment, ensuring they have appropriate approval
• Verifying quantity received and billed using a three-way match process
• Confirming that tax, freight charges, and miscellaneous charges are proper and authorized
• Resolving discrepancies with suppliers, purchasing, and receiving departments as applicable
• Posting freight costs to an excel worksheet to ensure correct billing
• Creating, posting, and entering ACH and wire payments with the bank
• Creating, printing, and posting check payments
• Posting month-end accounts payable accruals and other various journal entries
• Reconciling various general ledger accounts
• Analyzing spending trends for savings opportunities
• Calculating and paying monthly sales tax
• Performing ad-hoc reporting/analysis and special projects as requested.
• Degree required in Accounting or Finance.

• Demonstrated experience in Data Entry
