Summary:
The Controls Engineer participates in all engineering tasks, including design, testing, problem analysis, and resolution. Additionally, the Controls Engineer will participate in new product development, develop programming, testing, creating troubleshooting procedures and manuals
Job Description: The Controls Engineer will be responsible for
- Designing and developing control systems and strategies to meet project requirements
- Collaborating with project managers & engineers to ensure project completion within given timeline and budget
- Performing system diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and correct issues in real-time
- Conducting system simulations and testing to ensure functionality and performance
- Developing specifications and detailed documentation for control system design
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Programming and configuring PLC based systems
- Providing training and technical support to maintenance staff and users
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology trends in control engineering
- Understanding and implementing designs from technical drawings, schematics and circuit diagrams
- Interacting with contractors and customers using verbal and written communication
- Making presentations to clients and coworkers Developing product documentation and records
- Assist in the design and budgeting of electrical and wiring systems
- Assemble and test electrical equipment necessary for the system
- Fundamental electrical engineering skills
