Administrative Assistant / Accounts Clerk Job Description

Our growing company is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications below.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and redirect as needed.
  • Manage and maintain data entry of invoices for specified letter ranges in a timely manner.
  • Process invoices for payment from multiple entities.
  • Review invoices and attach required documentation.
  • Exercise judgment in evaluating the completeness and accuracy of the high volume of invoices submitted for payment.
  • Accurately and efficiently input data into a computer, and detect and correct data entry errors at the time of entry, including PO matching, posting, open A/P filing, matching checks with open A/P, and filing paid invoices.
  • Assist with other special projects as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Clerical experience with an emphasis on fiscal and accounting duties.
  • Ability to handle various people and situations, including changing and complex circumstances.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable is required.
  • Ability to properly manage batch A/P processing in a timely manner.
  • Ability to meet financial and calendar deadlines.
salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 9 AM - 5 PM
