Summary:
The Lab Technician performs laboratory tests to determine chemical or physical characteristics or composition of solid, liquid, or gaseous materials for such purposes as quality control, process control, or process development by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets up, adjusts and operates laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes, centrifuge, agitators, viscometer, chemical balance scales, spectrophotometer, pH meters and other equipment.
- Tests solutions used in plating processes for chemical concentration, specific gravity, or other characteristics.
- Tests samples of finished or manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
- Records test results in computer system and/or on standardized forms and writes test reports describing procedures used and results.
- Prepares graphs and charts.
- Cleans and maintains laboratory equipment and work area.
- Calibrates laboratory instruments.
- Prepares chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
- Adds chemicals or raw materials to process solutions to correct or establish formulation requirements to meet specifications.
- Maintain chemical inventory on a continual basis.

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
