Nex is looking for a senior finance & accounting leader with a proven track record who can make an immediate impact and lead the company’s transformation of internal processes and systems to adapt to the company’s rapidly growing business and financial needs.
Job description- Oversees the transformation of internal accounting processes and systems to handle the accounting as the business evolves across multiple business entities, multiple business models, distribution channels and various cost structures.
- Evaluates the current and projected business needs and makes recommendation on what systems, processes and personnel (both in-house and external) would be necessary.
- Leads the evaluation and selection of external partners and vendors for the implementation of the accounting processes and systems.
- Be responsible for the preparation and presentation of regular monthly management accounts for management use, as well as backward-looking and forward-looking financial statements for investors and creditors.
- Develops financial forecasting models that accommodates scenario planning, integrates with sales and production forecasts and reporting of variance between budgeted and actual.
- Prioritises accounting and finance team initiatives based on business priority and availability of resources.
- Drives the company’s working capital strategy. Advises management on cash needs and strategies to optimise liquidity.
- Lead and mentor the growth of the entire finance team.
- 5 years of work experience in financial accounting, at least 3 years of which in a leadership role
- Proven track record in driving process and systems transformation
- Experience in various accounting systems and tools, from spreadsheets to ERP and EDI
- Excellent communication skills in presenting financial status and insights both internally to senior management and externally to investors and creditors
- Ability to contribute both individually in a hands-on manner and in a team
