Employee Benefits Temporary Position - Mid-Market Segment (Part-Time)

Overview:
Alera Group Midwest, formally known as GCG Financial, LLC is seeking to fill a Temporary position on our Employee Benefits mid-market segment team. The individual in this position will report to the Manager of Client Services, Mid-Market, while partnering with the mid-market segment team in a supporting role.
Responsibilities:
- - Create benefits summaries and open enrollment presentations
- Create open enrollment guides
- Process eligibility
- Review output of deliverables generated through the quoting and renewal process for accuracy and conformance to established standards and quoting process
- Additional duties as assigned to support the mid- market segment team
Qualifications:
- - Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 2 years employee benefits experience (insurance carrier, benefits administration, insurance brokerage) preferred
- Insurance carrier and/or insurance brokerage experience preferred
- Working knowledge of
- Health and Welfare plans
- Ancillary Coverage including Life, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Dental, Vision, etc.
- Strong attention to detail focused on accuracy with work product quality as a priority
- Broad understanding of the various regulations surrounding health and welfare plans
- Effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as necessary with high sense of urgency
- Sound judgment and willingness to take on responsibility for results
- Highest integrity in as it pertains to confidentiality of client data
- Computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel (creating and verifying financial spreadsheets) and Powerpoint
