Maintenance Technician - Includes housing!!
We are looking for an energetic Maintenance Technician with a great attitude to join our team. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance operations, including cleaning of grounds, painting, work orders and turning of units.This person will support a Senior community in Placerville, CA. We are looking for a skilled maintenance person that has good customer service, is pro-active with a great attitude and can work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires on site living and includes housing with a 2 bedroom unit!!
The Maintenance Technician assists with managing the building operations and working with the Community Manager to ensure the success of the building. The Maintenance Technician shall thoroughly understand the physical condition of the properties and shall have a high level of knowledge of all contracts, building rules, procedures, and operating policies affecting the buildings and skilled to complete various basic maintenance work as needed.With excellent customer service skills, the Maintenance Technician will work with residents and maintenance team members to support the property retention goals. Strong team work and accountability are key attributes of the successful Maintenance Technician.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical training certifications are a plus.
Experience: At least one year of maintenance related experience required. At least 1 year of similar maintenance in property or hotel management or similar desired.
Abilities:
- Ability to perform various maintenance duties
- Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing
- Painting experience preferred
- Ability to push/pull objects weighing more than 100 lbs. and lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs., but not less than 100 lbs.
- Interpret and understand maintenance work order information generated from software.
- Effectively oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors
- Basic computer and problem-solving skills required
- Be Available for After Hours On-Call Emergencies as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi task and stay organized
- Driving is required and a valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
Starting pay is based on experience. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday and available on call for emergencies as needed. This position includes housing with a 2 bedroom unit!!
