Data/Information Architect

The Platform Architect will play a key role in building and supporting the company's core enterprise data and machine learning platform, and will be instrumental in our journey towards digital transformation leveraging AWS stack technologies.
The role requires a self-motivated individual who can thrive in a collaborative environment, providing guidance on best practice architectural patterns, and striking a balance between individual data analytics and machine learning use cases, and overall enterprise architecture principles.

An in-depth knowledge of computer science, DevOps, MLOps, CI/CD, platform automation, and application programming is required for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in computer science from a recognized four-year college or university, and over 8 years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Interpersonal Skills

Great problem-solving abilities with the knack for thinking creatively and nimbly. Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to steer and supervise a team. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts in an understandable way.

Proven ability to handle concurrent tasks and projects and an aptitude to learn new technologies and tools swiftly.

Technical Experience
  • Profound understanding of business strategy paired with the ability to develop architecture plans to foster favorable business results.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AI, modern data architectures and patterns.
  • Proficiency in AWS, with expertise in contemporary design and architectural paradigms, such as microservices and cloud-native design.
  • Experience with API gateways and handling complex system integration projects within a cloud-based architecture.
  • Working knowledge of the industry to understand and recommend best practices from similar companies.
  • Experience with data and machine learning platforms, preferably Databricks or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of Python, YAML/Terraform, and Micro Services Architecture
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing CI/CD pipelines specifically in AWS.
  • Proficiency with Docker or other container technologies.
  • Strong grasp of modern SQL databases, data lakes, and warehouse architecture.
  • Experience with source control tools (GitHub, Bit Bucket, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker EE.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies.
  • Sound knowledge on observability practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation best practices, particularly in regards to the AWS stack technologies.
