Staff Accountant

We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Carrollton, Texas. This role is critical to our team's function, with responsibilities spanning across general ledger accounting, accounts payable, reconciliations, and other projects.
The Staff Accountant will also play a key role in assisting with month-end close tasks.
Responsibilities:- Accurately process incoming invoices for payment on a weekly basis
- Track and update accounting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Verify the accuracy of Driver Pay Settlement reports before payroll processing
- Post incoming Automated Clearing House (ACH) and Credit Card Payments
- Reconcile invoices with errors, process rebills and post credits as necessary
- Set up new vendors and customers in the accounting software
- Provide backup support to assist the Accounting Manager with various tasks as needed
- Prepare a variety of customer accounting reports as required
- Assist in the processing of outgoing customer invoices
- Participate in Month-End Closing tasks. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations
- Proficient in maintaining and updating the General Ledger
- Experience in recording and managing Journal Entries
- Ability to perform Month End Close tasks
- Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting purposes
- Familiarity with Oracle for financial management
- Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks
- Knowledge of SAP for business operations and customer relations
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or related field
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
