About Our Client

Our client is a premier general contractor located in the western suburbs of Chicago - primary focus on healthcare, light industrial and tenant interiors construction projects. Due to a strong pipeline, they are immediately seeking the appointment of an experienced and driven construction project engineer to assist with multiple projects across the Chicagoland area with the project manager.

Job Description

Assist in managing projects from start to finish, supporting the Project Manager in overseeing all phases of construction.
Supervise subcontractors and daily construction activities to ensure quality and efficiency.
Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, inspectors, and suppliers to address any issues with materials or methods.
Foster effective and professional on-site relationships with owners, architects, consulting engineers, and other project stakeholders.
Support the enforcement of a safe work environment, practices, and culture on the project

The Successful Applicant

1+ year of previous experience working with a General Contractor
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field a plus
Experience handling commercial projects
Strong software and technology skills is a plus
Able to communicate and be organized
Time Management Skills - making sure everything is on time and completed thoroughly
Experience with a team structure a plus
