Nuuly Associate Merchandise Planner

Role Summary:

nuuly is looking for an Associate Merchandise Planner who will maximize subscription revenue by creating a sound merchandise and assortment plan, with direction from supervisor, for rentals, purchases and removals, for one or more classes, that support nuuly’s goals for turn and in-stock.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the success of one or more classes by meeting or exceeding rentals, receipt AUC, and inventory turn
  • Partnering with buying team to monitor and evaluate utilization and productivity of carryover and new choices on a weekly basis
  • Collaborating with planning and buying team to identify any business opportunities
  • Partnering with buying and manager of planning to effectively manage receipt cost and inventory turn
  • Clearly communicating and providing reporting and analysis to highlight important trends and/or support key initiatives
  • Utilizing the OTB process to drive business
  • Building strong partnerships thru constant communication and collaboration with the planning and buying teams
  • Taking data science and buying direction and interpreting it into a profitable strategy

Role Qualifications:

  • 5+ year’s experience in Merchandise Planning in a retail environment
  • Experience in start-up environment a plus
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Results oriented
  • Creative problem solver/ “outside the box” thinker
  • Strong communication skills
  • Works well in teams
  • Strong excel skills
