Senior Staff Accountant

We are currently looking for someone to join our team as a Senior Staff Accountant, where you'll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, analyzing financial data and key performance indicators, and driving strategic insights. Schedule: Mon-Fri, Full-time. This is an onsite position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Oversee and prepare month end closing journal entries.
- Maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial statement package.
- Assist in annual budget preparation & financial forecasting.
- Post monthly budget reports for department managers.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results vs budget/forecast.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis of expense accounts, and identify trends.
- Provide financial analysis support to other departments of the company, as needed.
- Maintain fixed asset system, which includes reconciliation to general ledger and monthly recording of depreciation expense.
- Provide guidance and support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Direct workflow for accounts payable and other accounting personnel.
- Assist Operations Management by preparing production analysis reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax filings, audits, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support external audits by maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and safeguard company assets.
- Advise management on corporate financial strategies, policies, and risk management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 4 years of staff accountant experience.
- Proficiency in NetSuite Accounting Software required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with working proficiency in MS Word.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Effective communicator and team player with a collaborative approach.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle documents, reach with arms, and communicate in verbal interactions. Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision skills required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
