Sr. Property Accountant - Philadelphia

Our client is a well established, property management company specializing in the management of residential and mixed-use properties!

They are seeking a Sr. Property Accountant to join their growing team!

experience: 3 Years

• Review the work of property accountants, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to property accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate balancing of accounts.
• Analyze financial discrepancies and provide resolutions.
• Collaborate with property management and accounting teams to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain and update detailed workpapers to support financial reporting and audit requirements.
• Ensure all supporting documentation is organized, accurate, and up-to-date.
• Oversee the AP and AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate posting of invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and applicable industry regulations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
• Assist in preparing tax filings and compliance reporting as needed.
• Participate in system upgrades, implementations, or process improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred but not required.
• Around 3 years of property accounting experience
• Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
