Class B Delivery Driver (Local)
The Delivery Driver reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and collaborates with the distribution team to ensure timely, accurate, and complete deliveries to customers. This role requires professionalism, safety compliance, and efficiency in accordance with DOT regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver customer orders via the most efficient routes while meeting time and accuracy expectations.
- Load, secure, and verify shipments to ensure accurate deliveries.
- Conduct routine truck inspections and preventive maintenance checks.
- Maintain communication with the company regarding delivery updates and changes.
- Document deliveries, discrepancies, and customer receipts per company policies.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and maintain driving records.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely as needed.
- Assist with warehouse tasks and counter duties as required.
- Gather customer feedback to improve service and resolve concerns.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift/push/carry up to 50 lbs. and work in varied conditions.
- Proficiency in computerized systems and logistics technology.
- Availability for a Monday – Friday, day shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in delivery driving, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety compliance.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) , with air brake endorsement
- DOT Medical Examiners Certificate is required
- Good driving record
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
