Overview:
AVIAN is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to provide comprehensive HR support for AVIAN’s Test and Evaluation | Flight Support (TFS) sector and Training, Multimedia and Communications (TMC) sector addressing the unique needs of each team by offering full life-cycle HR services that align with AVIAN’s policies, practices, and values.
This role will also specialize in company-wide Learning and Development initiatives, working closely with HR and sector leadership and employees to support the design of programs that foster growth, skill enhancement, and defined career paths.

Responsibilities:
Sector-Specific HR Guidance:
- Lead HR day-to-day employee life-cycle actions for the Test and Evaluation | Flight Support (TFS) and Training, Multimedia and Communications (TMC) sectors.
- Partner with sector leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with sector goals and operational demands.
- Conduct regular meetings with team leaders to assess team dynamics and offer HR guidance that promotes positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Provide coaching to directors, program managers and team leads within the sectors on performance feedback, growth opportunities, and talent retention.
Specialization in Learning and Development:
- Support the development and implementation of learning and development programs that align with AVIAN’s organizational goals.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and other professional development initiatives to help employees grow their technical and leadership capabilities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, using feedback and data to refine and improve content.
Career Path Mapping and Development:
- Support the design of career pathing frameworks and development plans in partnership with leadership, establishing clear competencies and progression milestones for various roles.
- Align career pathing initiatives with the broader Learning and Development strategy, ensuring consistency across AVIAN sectors and roles.
Additional HR Program Support:
- Participate in cross-functional HR projects, including talent reviews, succession planning, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Ensure all HR activities are compliant with federal and state employment regulations.
- Actively engage with company and sector-specific events to support AVIAN’s positive workplace culture and encourage employee engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 3-5 years of HR experience in a generalist role. A focus on Learning and Development or career pathing (desired).
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills to foster relationships across levels.
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing learning programs; experience in career development is a plus.
- Ability to balance sector-specific and broader organizational responsibilities.
- Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Salary range:$65,000 - $85,000 (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)
