Responsibilities:
Overview:
The role will work closely with the Tender and Execution operational teams and liaise with all suppliers to win and execute critical customer projects for Digital Buildings. You will ensure the involvement of the purchasing function and the introduction of supplier strategy as early as possible in the project phases (tender and execution) and ensure compliance with purchasing procedures.
What You’ll Contribute Day-to-Day:
- Deliver Purchasing metrics: productivity and increase spend under control in tender & execution of projects
- Define the purchasing strategy for the project, focusing on high stake / high risk commodities, continuously prioritizing tasks based on project schedule
- Secure the supplier selection, being involved from tendering to the cash collection, integrating all specifications (cost, lead-time, technology, quality, flexibility, logistic, financing, and make or buy strategy)
- Assess risks on the supply chain and transfer/mitigate it as early as possible through audit, contractual clauses, supplier development plan
- Supervise all domestic and international freight logistics
- Negotiate Master Service Agreements and Terms & Conditions (T&C) with suppliers securing "back to back" and "If & When" conditions versus Schneider Electric customer conditions
- Manage all purchasing and sourcing activities with an ethical approach, securing the assets from SE (based on corporate rules) and all potential claims with suppliers and subcontractors
- Secure the supply deliveries, managing the risk mitigation plans with suppliers and anticipating pro-actively all necessary actions
- Responsible for the supplier pre-qualification and performance evaluation in terms of Safety, Logistics, commercial, quality, etc.
- Analyze spend & savings data to identify trends, risks & opportunities
Qualifications:
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:
- Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years purchasing experience
- Experience in subcontractor management in new construction
- Experience in contract negotiation and understanding of the core purchasing process is a must
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication, project management and negotiation skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 is a must
- Experience in Tableau and ERP/MRP systems like Dynamics, SAP or Oracle is essential
