System Sustainment Engineer

Overview/ Job Responsibilities:

Sev1Tech is seeking a System Sustainment Support role to support Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) support for Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) software engineering, systems engineering, enterprise cybersecurity implementations and operations, advanced technology, and project management services.

This role will provide sustainment support to Navy-wide Information Technology and Operational Technology (IT/OT) initiatives programs and systems within the Navy Regional Dispatch Centers (RDCs) to include Navy Emergency Management (EM) and Public Safety Systems (PSS) such as Lenel, AMAG, DMP SiS, King Fisher, and Monaco.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and secure regional and local level IT/OT systems.
  • Procure and maintain software support agreements for Lenel.
  • Troubleshoot system outages and resolve issues.
  • Provide engineering services to resolve technical issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Valid Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Information Systems, Cyber Security, Engineering, Information Assurance, Information Management, Information Systems, Information Security, or Information Technology.
  • Eight (8) years experience in systems support.
  • Experience with Windows servers, PowerShell, and Active Directory.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2022 or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience supporting IIS, SQL, SSL.
  • Eight (8) years of experience with planning, designing, and installing virtual hardware / software within an Enterprise data center.
  • Must possess Lenel training in the following:
  • OnGuard Hardware & Software Fundamentals
  • Advanced Access Control

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with clustered hardware, NetApp and Synology disk arrays.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or later.
  • Knowledge of VMware enterprise configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Dell, HP, or Cisco server hardware.
  • Additional Experience supporting PKI infrastructures and environments a plus.
