Installation Repair Technician Apprentice/Helper - Syracuse, NY

Position: Apprentice Installation amp; Repair Technician
Job Description: We are seeking mechanically inclined individuals with experience in construction, mechanical trades, or related fields to join our team as Apprentice Installation amp; Repair Technicians. No prior experience with overhead doors is necessary—we will provide comprehensive training.This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of both commercial and residential overhead doors and openers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead technician in the installation and repair of residential and commercial overhead doors and openers.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of all products, enhance mechanical skills, and learn new installation techniques to meet our high standards of quality workmanship with minimal warranty issues.
- Implement safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure all job tickets are accurately completed, signed, and submitted.
- Communicate with management regarding any problems or changes in the scope of work.
- Maintain truck inventory and develop an understanding of all parts, including their numbers and descriptions.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to safely lift 75 pounds overhead
- Experience in construction, mechanical, or electrical fields
- Clean NY State Driver's License
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Ability to pass a DOT physical (Non-CDL)
