What You Will Be Doing:

We are looking for a Principal Chemical Process Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop R&D strategies. In this position, you will closely communicate with various teams in the company to understand and define the R&D scope of the company, help stakeholders making key decisions based on the holistic process model, and help plan out the technical development roadmap of the company.

  • Lead the development of chemical process models for future products.
  • Perform technical assessments of chemical processing technologies and benchmark performance data against competitors.
  • Act as a liaison between the R&D Strategy team and other internal teams by helping to make key technical strategy and business decisions.
  • Communicate with various business teams of the company to understand R&D and technical development needs.
  • Develop process design strategies to further highlight the competitive advantages of the companys technology in the market.
  • Engage with external stakeholders/customers to forge relationships and highlight competitive advantages of the technology that Amogy provides.

Requirements

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • BS/MS/MA with 15+ years or PhD with 10+ years of experience in chemical engineering.
  • Professional experience in chemical process engineering, process scale-ups and techno-economics.
  • Theoretical understanding of thermodynamics, chemical process designs, heat transfer and other core principles of mechanical/chemical engineering.
  • Ability to take the initiative in developing and leading the projects while making technical decisions.
  • Previous experience with developing chemical process models using simulators such as Aspen or Pro/II.
  • Working knowledge in high temperature thermochemical energy conversion devices such as engines, reformers, reactors, burners or combustors.
  • Previous assignments working in a subject-matter technical expert role.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience building first-principles models using MS Excel or MATLAB.
