New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.

Location: Southgate

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or other full-time equivalent.

Reports To: President / Chief Medical Officer / Medical Director / Clinical Director / Associate Clinical Director

Compensation: Salaried Employee. Commensurate with experience.

Position Summary: The Clinical Supervisor provides oversight of activities in conjunction with applicable Director and/or Associate Director to FACE to FACE PHP Programing as well as Outpatient services. They also provide oversight and supervision of clinical and administrative staff in assigned location.

This position will require working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide the highest quality of care to consumers.

Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Provides direct care related to individual, admission, family, group, and other services to consumers in the FACE to FACE Program in accordance with professional standards and policies/procedures of the facility.
  • Serves as dedicated mentor to incoming PHP staff at assigned location(s) and supports to the onboarding process of new staff after start.
  • Assists in daily PHP management tasks as directed and in conjunction with site Director and Associate Director including, but limited to, facilitating AM team meeting, assigning tasks to PHP staff, and reviewing census.
  • Develops and/or follows treatment plans using a person-centered process.
  • Completes discharge planning and coordination of care as required.
  • Completes documentation as required by the clinic’s policies/procedures.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to administrative and clinical staff.
  • Proven experience and demonstrated ability within New Oakland Family Centers’ scope of clinical services.
  • Understanding of the Agency’s mission and culture and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and consumers in all circumstances.
  • Experience and confidence identifying and implementing best practices and Agency policy and procedure.
  • Experience working in crisis settings with individuals and families.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment and assist with other departmental functions (HR, billing, quality, etc.)
  • Program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking abilities.
  • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid/Private/3rd Party/PCE and other types of consumer billings
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel and customized databases.
  • Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to relate well with persons from a variety socioeconomic and cultural groups.
  • Fulfillment of all initial and ongoing training requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as proficiency with computers and related programs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: Staff are to dress professionally at all times per the Employee Handbook. Staff will need to be prepared to be actively involved with consumers.

Requirements

Master degree and licensure in social work, professional counselor, or psychology required. Full licensure is highly preferred. One to three years of progressively responsible clinical experience, including expertise working with New Oakland clinical staff in a team capacity.
