Client is a national financial services firm.
Position Overview:
This pivotal role will lead system enhancements and modifications to the deposit insurance calculator ETL processes. The candidate will collaborate with business subject matter experts and technology teams to refine calculator logic and processes, develop actionable requirements, and oversee rigorous testing to ensure accurate and successful deployment of updates into production.
This role requires a balance of technical expertise, project management capabilities, and a deep understanding of financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and deployment of system enhancements and corrections for the deposit insurance calculator ETL.
Partner with business subject matter experts and technology teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
Draft and communicate detailed business requirements and action plans.
Manage concurrent projects, ensuring timely completion of all phases, from development to testing and production deployment.
Perform SQL queries on the calculators database to support enhancements and troubleshooting.
Transition from project-based responsibilities to business-as-usual (BAU) support functions over time.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 57 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Extensive experience with SQL for querying databases.
- Hands-on experience working with developers in a production environment.
- Knowledge of bank regulatory reporting, including Axiom, is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Database experience within financial services, with an understanding of banking products and bank balance sheets.
Education:
- Masters Degree required.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate business requirements clearly.
- Self-starter with the ability to lead initiatives from concept to completion with minimal oversight.
