Regional Controller

An amazing Robert Half client is seeking a Regional Controller to join their growing team in Metro Detroit, MI. This role will be the financial business partner between our plants and the North America Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic financial insight and operational support for our Automotive and General Industrial Division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a business partner to the Vice President and General Managers, supporting strategic decision-making at plant, regional, and division levels.
• Provide accounting and analytical support to Office Managers, General Managers, and Vice Presidents.
• Lead quarterly forecasting and annual planning processes for the region.
• Oversee month-end, interim, and year-end financial closings across regional plants, in coordination with Shared Services.
• Analyze financial performance and identify operational improvements to drive financial results.
• Mentor office managers, fostering active engagement in regional and divisional projects.
• Regularly visit plants, reviewing critical performance metrics and offering actionable insights.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a multi-national company with multi-site responsibility.
• Experience in ERP systems such as Hyperion, AX, or Navision a plus.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliance required).
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to leadership and operational understanding.
