About Our Client

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, production planning, and logistics. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The Supply Chain Manager will collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and implement best practices.

Job Description
  • Supply Chain Strategy:
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company objectives and ensure the efficient movement of goods and materials.
  • Monitor and analyze current trends in supply chain management, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management:
  • Manage the procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Implement inventory control procedures and systems to maintain accuracy and reduce costs.
  • Production Planning:
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure that manufacturing schedules align with supply chain capabilities and customer demands.
  • Coordinate production planning and scheduling activities to meet business goals.
  • Logistics and Distribution:
  • Manage logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to forecast demand and plan supply chain activities accordingly.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure that products meet quality standards.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
  • Monitor external factors (e.g., market trends, regulatory changes) that could impact the supply chain and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead times, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Use data analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement in supply chain processes.

The Successful Applicant
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • MUST HAVE Oracle experience
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, demand forecasting tools).
  • Oracle experience is a must
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

What's on Offer

Target compensation for the Supply Chain Manager is $120,000 - $150,000 + 15% bonus.
