Primary Purpose
The Software Development Engineer - Frontend will have a strong focus on Single Page Applications (SPA), React, and microfrontend technologies. They are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications hosted in AWS, ensuring seamless user experiences and optimal performance.This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and enhance web applications that meet our high standards for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable frontend solutions using React and SPA principles.
- Implement and maintain microfrontend architectures to enhance modularity and improve deployment processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to deliver compelling user experiences.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability, particularly focusing on performance for React apps hosted in S3.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and provide solutions to complex development challenges.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring code quality.
- Work in an agile environment and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in frontend development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 or more years of related professional experience.
- Proven experience as a frontend developer with a strong focus on SPA and React.
- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience with microfrontend architectures and their implementation.
- Familiarity with AWS services, particularly S3, CloudFront, Lambda, and other related technologies.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong multitasking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Satisfactory background check required.
