Compensation: $18-20/hr DOE + Benefits for full-time employees

Position Overview:
Under the supervision of our executive chef the Commis position is a mid level role in the kitchen, responsible for the prep and plating for hot appetizers, cookery of vegetables, starches, sauces, meats and fish with a variety of cooking methods and equipment for our outlets, including Le Depot French Brasserie and Union Patisserie.
During service the commis cooks will work with the lead line cooks- the Chef de Partie.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a great team player as well as possessing the ability to complete their individual tasks in a timely manner. We value hardworking team members that show an innate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn.
Education: Degree in Culinary Arts is preferred

Required Skills:
- Must speak and read English and have the legal ability to work in the United States
- Must provide your own kitchen tools/ knives
- Must have Department of Health Certification
Physical Requirements:
- Most work tasks are performed indoors with some outdoor activities
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift 50lbs.
