What you will do:
As a Solution Design Manager with GEP Worldwide, you will play a crucial role in engaging with potential clients, understanding their unique business needs, and articulating how GEP's solutions can address those needs effectively. This role requires a blend of functional acumen, technical expertise, value selling, and excellent communication skills.
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary contact during presales, leading discovery sessions to understand client needs and collaborating with sales teams to qualify leads and align opportunities with GEP’s solutions.
- Solution Demonstration: Deliver customized presentations showcasing GEP’s procurement and supply chain platforms, demonstrating their ability to drive cost savings, process efficiencies, risk mitigation, and alignment with key business objectives.
- Solution Design: Work with solution architects to develop tailored proposals, outlining the recommended approach, solution components, timelines, and expected outcomes. Address client inquiries to build trust throughout the process.
- Industry Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and emerging trends. Leverage expertise in GEP’s technologies, including procurement software, analytics tools, and digital transformation solutions, to provide relevant insights and recommendations.
- Value Selling: Collaborate with clients to define their business goals and position GEP’s solutions as strategic enablers. Use success stories and case studies to illustrate ROI and measurable outcomes.
- Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and support to sales teams on product differentiation, objection handling, and value selling techniques. Contribute to marketing collateral and thought leadership to enhance GEP’s market presence.
What you should bring:
- Proven experience in presales, solution consulting, or technical sales roles within the procurement or supply chain domain.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, category management principles, and sourcing methodologies.
- Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, analytics tools, and digital transformation technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients, understand their business challenges, and position relevant solutions effectively.
- Proactive attitude, with a passion for staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
