How you make a difference:

The Rehabilitation Specialist II leads transformative psychoeducational psychiatric rehabilitation groups and activities that support individuals with severe and persistent mental illness on their path to recovery. You’ll engage participants in dynamic programs designed to address their unique needs while ensuring their progress is documented in accordance with facility standards and accreditation guidelines.

Working closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team, you will help develop and implement measurable objectives, contributing to the overall success of each individual’s treatment plan and improving their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans and Facilitates Group Sessions: Plans and conducts daily group activities, managing group processes and dynamics to ensure optimal participation and positive outcomes for individuals served.
  • Accurate and Timely Documentation: Ensures timely, complete, and accurate documentation of services provided, adhering to professional standards, facility procedures, and department requirements.
  • Collaboration with Treatment Team: Works closely with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated care and support for individuals served.
  • Efficient Time Management: Effectively manages time to complete assigned tasks, including auxiliary support services and department assignments, within set deadlines.
  • Effective Communication and Support: Provides clear communication and ongoing support to individuals served, ensuring active participation and progress in therapeutic activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Bachelors' degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field.

Experience:

  • Required: One (1) year of experience in a mental health setting. Coursework or professional experience that demonstrates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, and/or assessment and treatment of major mental disorders may substitute for experience.
