Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team! We are looking for an accounting or finance professional who is passionate about client services at the highest level and can thrive in a team environment.The person chosen for this position will make an immediate impact by supporting our monthly close and reporting processes, as well as participating in the preparation and analysis of the Firm’s expense budget.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial support and assistance to the CFO, Director of Finance, FP&A Manager, finance colleagues, and department leaders
- Work on firm’s strategic view by incorporating competitive analysis
- Participate in the annual budget process and compiling key metrics
- Support the analytical review of the budget throughout the year, working closely across functions to provide helpful data and insights
- Participate in other analytical projects assigned by management and preparation of key financial reports
- Complete monthly close responsibilities and ensure proper and timely recording of transactions
- Drive process improvement for financial reporting, taking initiative in proposing solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar required
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in an accounting or finance role required, with preference for candidates with prior financial analyst experience
- Expert-level knowledge of Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, with ability to communicate with all members of the firm, including Partners and Management
- Analytical skills, critical thinking ability, and problem-solving orientation #LI-Hybrid
Pursuant to the Illinois Equity Pay Act the salary range for this Chicago based position is between $65,300 - $106,500. These figures represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be determined based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
