Outpatient Psychiatrist

Our treatment setting is intimate with a high staff to client ratio, and an emphasis on individual therapy and highly individualized treatment.

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to work at our outpatient PHP in Manhattan, New York City, New York!

The Psychiatrist must be onsite once a week with patients ages 13+ (average patient age is 23). The hour are very flexible, about 12 hours/week, 50% patient care/50% administrative time.

Responsibilities Include::

• Conduct initial Psychiatric evaluations and weekly follow-up sessions to include psychotropic medication management.
• Maintain current and proper progress notes.
• Collaborate with the full treatment team as needed and provide patient-specific input for Discharge Planning.
• Communicate with referring providers and family members as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with all standards set by agencies with oversight of this facility.

Qualifications::

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited program.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in General/Adult Psychiatry at minimum; Completion of Child/Adolescent Fellowship preferred.
• Active and unrestricted Medical License (or license-eligible).
• Comfort working in both outpatient and inpatient settings is very helpful.
• Must hold BLS/CPR prior to starting work; we can arrange training if needed.
