Qualifications:
This is a full-time, hourly position, with twelve hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule. Weekends and holidays are required if scheduled. Shifts will rotate from 2 weeks on day shift (6:00am to 6:30pm) to 2 weeks on night shift (6:00pm to 6:30am)
What are the duties? The Clean Room Operator will be responsible for operating and controlling process equipment and systems in the production of pharmaceutical grade amino acids.
Specifically, the Clean Room Operator will:
- Obtain and maintain an understanding of what each part of the clean room process is and does while learning the flow of the clean room process and how specific responsibilities impact downstream operations. Begin to learn theory behind the purification process
- Efficiently and timely carry out assigned tasks in support of productivity for the team and department
- Assist team members when workload permits or when all assignments have been completed
- Participate in daily housekeeping tasks by keeping work areas clean and organized, and completing assigned monthly housekeeping tasks
- Retains information provided by trainer and apply learned knowledge to assigned tasks. Strive to master training tasks in assigned area in a 6-month timeframe.
- Follows SOP’s and direct instruction from trainer, Foreman and Associate Manager
- Communicate with team regarding any production issues or challenges beyond skill level
- Learn and execute required documentation according to cGMP and company policies
- Other duties as assigned
What are the physical requirements? Position requires the ability to stand for a minimum of 3 hours per day; sit, walk, bend over and reach above head for a minimum of an hour a day; lifting or carrying of up to 50 pounds occasionally and repetitive use of hands/arms for writing and computer work.
What education, skills and experience do I need? High school diploma, GED or equivalent, prior Clean Room experience preferred.
