We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Outreach Coordinator in Poway, California. The main function of this role is to assist in expanding apprenticeship and training programs, build relationships with various sectors, coordinate recruitment aspects, and facilitate outreach events within the industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing new outreach programs and strategies to create a skilled workforce pipeline.
  • Fostering relationships with high schools, community-based organizations, career centers, and government agencies to promote collaboration and resource identification.
  • Handling all aspects of recruitment for orientation/job fairs, including the creation and distribution of promotional materials to targeted markets.
  • Organizing and conducting tours of the training center for interested individuals or groups.
  • Serving as a key facilitator and relationship builder, working towards apprenticeship and training expansion.
  • Assisting in the creation, preparation, and execution of both onsite and offsite outreach events or presentations.
  • Acting as the primary contact for career outreach, liaising between staff, members, high schools, and other collaborative recruitment efforts.
  • Undertaking general filing and file room organization tasks, including the creation of new files for students, instructors, and members.
  • Providing support to the Workforce Development Team as needed and participating in special projects as assigned.
  • Incorporating construction technology into outreach efforts to showcase advanced training programs.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create social media and other marketing materials to increase presence.
  • Offering reception desk support as needed. • Possess strong skills in answering inbound calls, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service, prioritizing client needs and satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in data entry, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle email correspondence promptly and professionally.
  • Experience in managing both inbound and outbound calls, maintaining high levels of professionalism.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to utilize complex formulas and create comprehensive reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, especially in managing emails and scheduling appointments.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to create compelling presentations.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Word, with the ability to draft, edit, and format various documents.
  • Experience in scheduling appointments, ensuring optimal time management and efficiency.
