DevOps Engineer

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a DevOps Engineer in our manufacturing industry based in New York. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be expected to play a critical role in managing and maintaining AWS EKS environments, while also being able to diagnose issues across a vast array of workloads.

Responsibilities:

• Work with AWS technologies to create, operate, and maintain AWS EKS environments.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Kubernetes administration to handle large scale workloads.
• Utilize your Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) skills in daily operations.
• Use your AWS Associate Level or Professional Level certification to enhance and maintain our AWS environment.
• Be adaptable to work across different timezones, specifically CEST (European) and EST (US).
• Diagnose and solve Kubernetes issues across a variety of workloads.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security of systems.
• Maintain technical documentation and notes regarding system function and maintenance. • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient knowledge of AWS Technologies.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces.
• Solid experience in system administration and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with networking and security concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
