Position Summary:
The Kitchen Prep Cook is responsible for preparing menu items according to standard recipes as well as maintain quality and taste assurance in all food items.
The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and strong management and independent decision-making skills are required.
These positions are seasonal and will run from February 6th until March 31st for the Spring Training season. Times vary depending on game time and attendance.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18 to $22.

This position will remain open until April 11, 2025.
About the Venue:
Oak View Group is the exclusive food, beverage, and merchandise provider for Salt River Fields, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies Spring Training as well as many other fun events!
Responsibilities:
- Prepping, portioning, arranging, and garnishing food
- Grilling and short order cooking
- Food stocking, rotating, labeling, dating, and temperature taking of food products
- Able to operate a variety of kitchen equipment and push full hot boxes
- Have good knife skills and ability to use a cut glove
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Ability to adjust to high pressure situations and be open to change, able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and take direction
- Anything else assigned by the Executive Chef
Qualifications:
- Ability to work an event-driven schedule including weekdays, weekends, morning and evening shifts.
- Must provide regular and consistent written availability to management.
- Some level of culinary degree, certifications or experience required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Must obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Card from ServSafe, and other required compliance trainings.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with employees, management, and guests in a professional and respectful manner.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as boxes and equipment.
