Position Description Summary
The Contract Administrator II will be working with the Administration of professional services contracts which provide planning & design and entitlement & environmental planning services in support of Capital Improvement Aviation Programs.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties- Provide a variety of contract administration duties for multiple professional service contracts, which may include:
- Ensure compliance with contract sections, such as inclusivity, City of Los Angeles ordinances, task orders, cost reimbursables, etc.
- Process the addition and removal of firms to a given contract.
- Track relevant contract information and audit periodically.
- Maintain a log of contract performance.
- Oversee the creation and storage of all applicable documents and files.
- Understand all components of the contract including procurement and any amendments.
- Be familiar with City of Los Angeles policies with regards to contracting.
- Conduct activities necessary when contracts expire or need to be closed out.
- Other duties as required.
- Create labor, other-direct-cost, scope-based, and closeout task orders.
- Review Task Order Solicitations and corresponding proposals to ensure that they adhere to both the contract and City of Los Angeles policies.
- Monitor task order expenditures and anticipate when a budget reduction / increase is warranted.
- Resolve task order funding issues by working with the various teams.
- Resolve task order and contract related issues as they arise.
- Other duties as required.
- Work with different partners within the Airport Development Group including executive offices, delivery programs, project teams, payment analysts, IT staff, budget teams, etc.
- Coordinate with other groups, including Strategic Sourcing Division, Operations & Maintenance, etc.
- Provide administrative support to management.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and other written correspondence.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by management or as necessary.
- Attend meetings, including pre-bid/pre-proposal and outreach events.
- Assist in resolving issues between firms and Owner.
- Process/coordinate Security badge request packages: quality control and submission to the Security Badge Office and Airfield Driving Permit Office.
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree is preferred.
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the administration of commercial/government contracts is required.
- Knowledge and direct experience in SBE/LBE/LSBE/DBE/DVBE/MWBE program coordination and compliance preferred.
- Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications.
- Understand the basic principles of cost accounting, contract lifecycles, and construction phases.
- Experience with task order contracts.
- Familiar with the United States General Services Administration per diem guidelines.
- Critical thinking skills to address and resolve administrative and process issues.
- Able to present information succinctly.
- Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical backgrounds.

Wage Data Per State Requirements:
Pay range for this position is $50/hr - $61/hr. The starting pay will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
