We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator- Shipping and Receiving to join our client's team in Fremont, California.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be instrumental in handling the receipt and dispatch of goods, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient and effective communication with various stakeholders.

This is a fully onsite contract to permanent or direct permanent position. The position is permanent, 40 hours per week, typical schedule is Monday to Friday either 7:30AM to 4PM or 8AM to 4:30PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and process deliveries of materials as required, ensuring correct matching of incoming materials with purchase orders and assigning lot codes.
  • Execute transactions in the ERP system related to the receipt of raw materials and supplies from vendors, as well as returns from customers.
  • Proactively resolve any receiving discrepancies with the Purchasing team and coordinate with Inventory Control to determine stocking locations.
  • Prepare and manage import and export shipment documentation, including sales orders, customer purchase orders, packing slips, and freight carrier details.
  • Oversee the packaging and dispatch of products for shipment, creating waybills in the freight carrier online portal, and printing shipping labels.
  • Coordinate with freight companies for the collection and dispatch of products, ensuring all packages are picked up each day.
  • Follow up on delayed shipments and communicate freight dispatch and tracking details to staff as required.
  • Participate in stock activities, maintain organization of raw and finished products, and perform daily cycle counts as needed.
  • Use your strong communication skills to handle customer service inquiries and provide excellent service.
  • Utilize your knowledge of Business Systems and ERP Solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the role.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a logistics coordination or related role
  • Experience with domestic and international shipments
  • Demonstrable knowledge of business systems
  • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other logistics-related software
  • Willingness to continue learning and adapting to new technologies and trends in the logistics industry.
