Our client, a leading private equity firm based in California, is at the forefront of high-growth technology and related sectors. As an SEC-registered investment adviser managing billions in assets, they provide specialized capital and expertise to help companies achieve global prominence.

In this crucial role, you will be a key member of the Finance Team, reporting directly to the Director and CFO. This hybrid position offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee tax compliance for private equity funds and the management company.
• Ensure timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, FATCA/CRS reports, 1099s, sales tax, and other required submissions with external providers.
• Manage investor tax certificates and coordinate with banking institutions.
• Handle quarterly estimated tax payments and address tax notices as needed.
• Assist with tax communications while reviewing allocations, adjustments, and distributions.
• Monitor tax provisions specified in fund agreements.
• Support tax planning initiatives for management companies.
• Collaborate with deal teams on global structuring and holding company formations.
• Implement tax policies and improve processes through automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred; CPA designation is a plus.
• 6+ years of accounting experience, particularly in private equity and venture capital.
• In-depth understanding of investment management, Subchapter K partnership, and international tax compliance.
• Experience with international investment tax is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal abilities.
