Position Overview:

The Director, Campus Operations will drive the execution of strategy and the operational direction of the department under the direction of the Campus President. This position ensures the sound balance between education and business, and will lead by example, modeling the NLC Mission, Vision, and Core Values in all interactions with students, customers, and staff.

The Director of Campus Operations will set high standards of educational and operational excellence, inspiring others through clarity of purpose, optimum use of teams, technology, equipment, and facilities, and most importantly - dedication to the growth and fulfillment of every student.

In this position you will have the opportunity to::

  • Drive the execution of strategies established by executive leadership and influence business and education decisions that affect the campus and implements goals and objectives.
  • Create processes and accountabilities that guarantee the student administrative experience is efficient, timely, and clear, and that training schedules are optimized to enhance student experience and outcomes.
  • Manage the budget – create revenue and expense forecasts, review monthly budget to actual reports, and train campus leaders in best financial practices.
  • Be accountable for campus KPIs, to include graduation rates, employment verifications, attrition, and other education and business metrics.
  • Lead the Campus Operations team, driving excellence in the daily operations including scheduling, student experience, customer service and campus events.
  • Lead the Facilities team to benchmark levels to include equipment readiness and maintenance, material and inventory management, and facility cleanliness.
  • Drive process improvement in all areas of campus operations by leveraging talent, tools, and technology.
  • Promote NLC by building strong relationships/ partnerships with regional utilities and construction companies, trade organizations and associations, and local governments.
  • Be a driver towards the commitment of campus staff to provide the highest level of student value by understanding who the student is and what they need – NLC exists because of the student.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years management experience with operational and fiscal responsibilities.

Technical Requirements/ Core Competencies:

  • Ability to develop and implement long-term goals and strategies.
  • Strong leaderships skills to include the ability to manage and develop multi-functional teams.
  • Process improvement and project planning/ oversite.
  • Fiscal responsibility, to include budgets, forecasting, and capital expenditures.
  • Advanced knowledge of the trades or willingness and ability to learn on the job through proactive outreach, networking, and collaboration.

Salary:

$107,000 - $121,295 annually, DOE
