Sr. Project Manager

Introduction

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Sr. Project Manager position located in Orlando, FL. This position is a contract hire opportunity which is expected to be partially on-site (25%) and remote (25%) for a duration of one year, with a possibility of extension.

Summary

The selected Sr. Project Manager will manage key projects with the goal of delivering each project within scope, on time, and within budget.

Job Description:

• Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
• Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
• Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
• Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
• Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
• Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
• Manages one or more cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity.
• Responsible for multiple large, complex projects with greater impact to the enterprise.
• Manage and deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Ability to lead all relevant project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Assist all departments involved in a project to set realistic goals and ensure the technical feasibility of solutions.
• Coordinate resource availability, alignment, and allocation across all departments both technical and non-technical to ensure project success.
• Develop risk management plans and perform risk assessments.
• Develop detailed work breakdown structures, monitor and track progress against task completion.
• Successfully build and manage relationships with project team members and external partners in the district.
• Develop communication plans and consistently communicate project status to the Program Manager and stakeholders in an organized, consistent manner.
• Lead change management of scope, schedule, and budget.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
