THE POSITION
Supervisor Software Engineering, Continental Autonomous Mobility US, LLC, Carpinteria, CA:
Manage the Backlog of the Agile Release train by adding, deleting, estimating, refining, and prioritizing the items for the base functionality and customer features. Support the software product and process roadmap. Develop and build relationships within the company, ensure communication within the group and with externals.Collaborate and align with Release Train Architects, Product Owners and Solution Manager to decompose higher level requirements and specifications. Measure productivity, quality and value creation and support in defining and prioritization of improvement measures.
Manage, motivate, and develop staff in line with the company policies and practices in order to maximize their contribution to reaching short- and long-term targets. Contact person for the Agile Release Train internally and externally. Customer and stakeholder contact person regarding feature priorities and deliveries.
Assignment of resources to algorithm projects and tracks the appropriateness. Report to the department manager about resources and possible business risks to ensure an optimal managerial information. Define release and program increments and manage the delivery schedule.
Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
Project management experience specifically in software projects; Developing complex software automotive or driver assistance systems; andDeveloping automotive software programs using MATLAB, C, and C++.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience applying industry standards, including ASPICE, ISO 26262 or MISRA, in compliance with the automotive qualification process.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
Developing automotive embedded systems; andLeading a team of software engineers in software projects for the automotive industry.
International travel required up to 5%; Domestic travel required up to 5%.
