Permanent Position for a Senior Engineer with 7+ years of experience in product development for gas-fired consumer products, ie: heat pump systems, boilers, and other HVAC products. Relocation assistance is available. This position is located in Fayette County, GA (30 minutes south of the Atlanta Airport) in a beautiful community with top schools.
Required Skills:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years in engineering design and product development with the following:
- heat pump water and space systems, boilers, air handler units, direct vent furnaces, vent-free connectors, and other space and water heating products.
- Understanding of Certification standards as they apply to gas-fired products.
- ASHRAE, NEEA, ANSI, CSA, DOE AHRI, Energy Start standards processes and testing methods.
- Mechanical systems product development and applications
- Solidworks or other CAD software
- Experience in developing new products - New Product Development or Stage-Gate Process.

- Engineering, product design, and testing of new space and water heating products for production.
- Optimization of heat pump water and space heating systems and boilers for efficiency, performance, and reliability.
- Calculate heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics designs.
- Work on cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance and certification requirements.
- Create and document technical data for assigned projects.
