We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Expansion Manager to lead and drive the growth of our business within the automotive sector, specifically in the areas of embedded systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with embedded systems, automotive applications, and HIL testing.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with embedded systems, automotive applications, and HIL testing.
This role will be pivotal in identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders in the automotive industry to expand our presence in Michigan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the automotive embedded systems market.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategies for market expansion, focusing on HIL testing and embedded systems applications in automotive environments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to promote business growth.
- Identify emerging trends and technological advancements in automotive systems, HIL testing, and embedded systems to stay ahead of the market.
- Work with R&D teams to align customer needs with product offerings and develop tailored solutions for automotive applications.
- Oversee the negotiation and closure of deals, contracts, and partnerships with automotive manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and system integrators.
- Provide market intelligence and competitive analysis to guide strategic decision-making for expanding product portfolios and enhancing service offerings.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure effective integration of embedded systems and HIL solutions into customer projects.
- Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to customers, showcasing our capabilities in automotive embedded systems and HIL testing.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote business growth and brand visibility.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or technical management in the automotive or embedded systems industry.
- Strong understanding and experience with Embedded Systems development, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, and automotive electronics.
- Experience working with automotive manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, or system integrators is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of driving business expansion and managing customer relationships in a technical environment.
- Familiarity with automotive standards such as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts into clear business strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, and management teams.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive with a strong sense of urgency.
- Willingness to travel within Michigan and occasionally beyond.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with simulation and testing tools for automotive embedded systems and HIL solutions.
- Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role within the automotive technology space.
- Strong network within the Michigan automotive industry, particularly in embedded systems and HIL testing.
