Director of Accounting

You will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve financial success through growth, transition, and retirement.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead and manage the assurance components of broader client engagements, ensuring practice deliverables and quality.
• Offer advisory services that encompass entity setup and restructuring, budgeting/forecasting, capital transactions, and financial analysis.
• Gain a deep understanding of client operations and processes to provide relevant advice and solutions.
• Mentor a team of staff accountants, assisting them in growing their skills.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline accounting functions.
• Perform auditing tasks and manage budget processes.
• Handle complex tax returns such as federal income tax return, estate tax return, and income tax accounting.
• Contribute to mergers and acquisitions (M& A) operations. • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry
• Proven expertise in Accounting Software Systems is necessary
• Should have in-depth knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Auditing is required
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is essential
• Must have handled Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A)
• Experience in managing Complex Tax Return, Estate Tax Return, Federal Income Tax Return is crucial
• Expertise in Income Tax Accounting is needed
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
