CSIRT Incident Response Specialist
Responsibilities
- Monitors security events and incidents using various security tools and technologies
- Analyzes security incidents to determine the root cause and impact
- Responds to security incidents in a timely and effective manner
- Implements and maintains incident response procedures and documentation
- Identifies and reports security vulnerabilities and suggest mitigation strategies
- Participates in incident response exercises and tabletop exercises
- Provides technical guidance and support to other members of the information security team
- Remediates cross domain spillage incidents utilizing approved techniques and procedures
- Stays up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends
- Performs desktop installation, setup and configurations of new or existing equipment
- Updates service support utilizing ITSM tool
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in incident response or a related field
- Strong knowledge of computer networks and operating systems
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong commitment to ethical behavior and maintaining confidentiality
- Active TS/SCI clearance
