We are seeking a graduate student to join our team as an intern, working closely with external consultants to gain market insights and industry overviews. The intern will lead the collaboration with consultants, manage market research activities, and contribute directly to our business development strategy and product roadmap.

We are seeking a graduate student to join our team as an intern, working closely with external consultants to gain market insights and industry overviews. The intern will lead the collaboration with consultants, manage market research activities, and contribute directly to our business development strategy and product roadmap.

**This internship can be fully remote**
  • Meet with multiple consulting firms to identify the best match based on our team’s needs and each firm’s capabilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for consultants, managing project timelines and deliverables
  • Lead market research efforts, participate in workshops, and engage in strategic discussions
  • Report findings and insights from the research to the Director of Healthcare Innovation and executive team, helping to shape business strategies and product development plans

Outcomes:

  • By the end of the internship, the intern is expected to produce a comprehensive research report based on the consulting firm’s findings and an insights report that will inform our business and product strategies.

Qualifications:

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong leadership skills to navigate the project and ask the necessary questions to keep the project moving forward
  • Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with consultants and team members
  • Proficient written communication skills for internal documentation and reporting
  • Eager to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • Background in life sciences, medicine, or pharmacy
  • Knowledge of business strategy and development is a plus
  • A basic understanding of drug & medical device development processes and FDA regulations is highly desirable but unnecessary

Learning Opportunities:

  • Gain hands-on experience in product development strategy and localization within the life science industry
  • Develop skills in market research management, business strategy, and FDA regulatory processes
  • Work in a collaborative environment with daily communication and support from the team, including interactions with our development team in Japan

Additional Considerations:

  • This position may include a few domestic and international business trips based on the project's advancement. However, these will be flexible, and the intern's preferences will be taken into consideration
