Overview:
Cordoba Corporation is a nationally recognized firm with expertise in program, project and construction management, and engineering planning and design, focusing on the transportation, energy, water, and education and public facilities sectors.We are growing and looking for a talented Construction Manager work on various projects for our education client. This person will manage various construction and improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day management of the construction program and individual projects ranging from $10K to $120M.
- Manages all aspects of project delivery, including planning, design, construction, and closeout.
- Ensures effective communication and collaboration with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Coordinates and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Prepares and present regular project status reports to clients and senior management.
- Addresses and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
- Ensures adherence to safety standards and regulations on all project sites.
- Provides leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develops and manages project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and financial accountability.
- Conducts regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Implements risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
- Ensures all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained.
Qualifications:
- 7-15 years of experience in Public Works, K-14, and Higher Education construction projects
- Strong background in Construction Management and Project Management
- Proven ability to manage projects from inception through to closeout
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards
Preferred:
- Experience on education campuses is a plus
